Prison » It Looks Like Raging Hockey Fans Destroyed An LAPD Drone Last Night

Multiple videos have been posted online showing what uploaders described as hockey fans destroying a Los Angeles Police Department drone outside the Staples Center Friday night after the LA Kings won the NHL’s Stanley Cup.

Riot police were called in to break up what the LA Times described as a “melee” outside the arena following the King’s victory over the New York Rangers.

In one clip posted online, a drone can be seen hovering over the crowd of hockey fans before it was knocked out of the sky by people throwing shoes and clothing:

I’m not a big fan of drones. I find them creepy and Orwellian.

Wanna know what works great against drones? Silly String. It’s that stuff that comes in a can that kids spray around at parties and then giggle.

It’s the Giggle Revolution. You could even build a custom device that contains large amounts of the substance, powered by an external CO2 canister like the ones used in paintball guns. And if a drone flies over, you just giggle and glob that little Orwellian surveillance machine with Silly String.

And then everyone can giggle at the little teeny peen of the surveillance state.
