Former GOP congressman and political commentator Allen B. West says he knows “the ground truth” about what really happened during the Benghazi attack.
In a blog post on Friday, Mr. West wrote that during a flight from Detroit he had a moment that he truly felt was God sent when he sat next to a friend of a one of the men that was at the Benghazi attack.
“Benghazi and the operations in Libya are shrouded in a fog of lies, deceit, manipulation, threats, intimidation, coercion, abandonment, and worst of all, potentially treason,” Mr. West said.
He wrote that his seatmate drew maps and schematic of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi and explained that men were ordered repeatedly to stand down and do nothing.
“Thank God two of them, Glenn Doherty and Ty Woods, lived up to their code of honor and ran to the sound of the guns, resulting in their loss of life — but the preservation of life for others, their fellow Americans,” Mr. West wrote.
Mr. West learned from the source that Ambasador Chris Stevens had requested better security before the attack but was denied, “the question is, by whom?”
He also said that those with knowledge of the event have been threatened with pension cuts if they speak up, ad that there was a covert weapons scheme happening under the radar in Benghazi.
“We had been supplying radical Islamists with weapons against Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi, effectively supplying the enemy and destabilizing that country. And it seems that there was a CIA weapons buy-back program, the aim of which was to ship the retrieved weapons out of Libya through Turkey, and to the Islamist forces in Syria.”
It’s probably all just a conspiracy theory in search of a conspiracy, as Jay Carney says. “Nothin’ to see here. It’s just the fevered imaginings of wild-eyed conspiracy theorists.”
Uh huh. Iran-Contra was just a conspiracy theory. The Downing Street Memo was just a conspiracy theory. The fracas involving the Watergate Hotel was just a conspiracy theory.
Do you see how easy journalism can be when you can dismiss the big stories as just conspiracy theories? Who wants to be a heavy hitter these days when you’ll get just as much bang for your subscription buck by writing Justin Bieber stories?
The term “conspiracy theory” is a Neuro-Linguistic Programming term that means “Nothing to see here. You don’t want to be kooky, do you? You’ll get less sex because pretty girls don’t like kooky people.”
Whenever you see someone roll out the “conspiracy theory” defense, you know that there is a crime dangerously close to being discovered.
But anyway, Mister West’s account squares perfectly with the description of events provided by CIA whistleblower Tosh Plumlee, as heard on the Haggmann and Haggmann Report and the Alex Jones show.
Benghazi was a weapons running operation, one that did not do awry, but one that went precisely as planned: one collateral goal of the event was to whack the ambassador, who apparently was not “down” with arming Al Qaeda, this idiot nation’s ostensible mortal enemy, the bad men who, we are told by that professional class of narcoleptics, journalists, are the same Al Qaeda who allegedly executed 9-11 using aircraft quite inconveniently equipped with the wrong engines.
Who ordered the stand-down? Who instructed military forces not to respond? We know that the excuse proffered, “The forces were too far away, therefore we ordered the stand-down,” doesn’t hold water because if it were some organically inspired “siege” by Islamists upset by some YouTube video, then it would be impossible to know how long the “siege” would last. And therefore it would be impossible to know that the forces “were too far away” to get there in time. If it were a “siege,” no one could know whether it would last ten minutes or ten days.
Who ordered the stand-down? In that person will you find a knowing conspirator who knowingly arranged to have the ambassador murdered.
That murderer is either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
…And that is why Jay Carney very badly needs us to believe that Benghazi is just a conspiracy theory in search of a conspiracy.
